DESCRIPTION:This link is for the RECORDED version of CORE 40 to be completed at your own pace.  \n\nIf you’re looking for the LIVE\, virtual classroom style CORE-40-REGISTER HERE. \n\nOn-Demand CORE 40 is a free Sexual Assault Victim Advocate training designed primarily for Rape Crisis Centers or Dual/Multi-Service Organizations. The training topics are standardized with suggested teaching points that allow for consistency throughout the field. This training offers the necessary “core” or basic knowledge and skills to provide competent and effective sexual assault services to meet the specialized needs of victims impacted by sexual violence. \n\nTo be eligible for a certificate of completion\, you must complete all the courses. If you just want to watch the videos\, and do not need slides or a certificate\, you can watch previous recordings on ICESA’s YouTube Channel. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\nRecorded in October 2025

DESCRIPTION:Date: June 16\, 2026 \nTime: 10:00 – 11:30 AM (ET) \nSara Church\, MS\, LMHC\, CMIP\, will help participants identify LGBTQIA+ survivor needs\, apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices\, recognize barriers to reporting and care\, use inclusive language\, address safety and confidentiality concerns\, and adapt services for intersecting identities. Special attention will be given to the stigma\, discrimination\, outing risks\, and medical mistrust that Queer Community survivors endure. \nSara Church\, MS\, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor\, a Certified Mindfulness-Informed Practitioner and the owner of Catalyst Counseling and Consulting group in Indianapolis. With over 15 years of experience in behavioral health with individuals\, couples\, and families needing support through complex life problems\, she recognizes how difficulties in emotional health can impact all life areas.
