Coffee with the Coalition – Healthy Masculinity as a Form of Violence Prevention

Coffee with the Coalition is our monthly topical training series. Throughout this series, we will provide trainings from experts in their fields on topics requested by sexual assault service providers and Rape Crisis Centers. This month, we will hear from Talha Kahf, who will lead a presentation providing actionable strategies for challenging harmful gender norms and advancing sexual violence prevention efforts.

More about the speaker:

As an aspiring social worker, Talha Kahf has fueled his passion for the field of social justice with his efforts to reclaim his Western Asian masculinity & femininity that were stolen at the hands of colonization. He is currently enrolled at the IU School of Social Work, and is pursuing an MSW/JD dual degree in hopes that he will engage with people who have experienced domestic violence on political advocacy. Along with his work, Talha finds joy in flowers and the morning sun.
