We are honored to welcome Brittany DiFilippo, BSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE P/A, forensic nurse and subject matter expert in the field of traumatic brain injuries (TBI), for a specialized training session designed for victim advocates, first responders, and allied professionals. With extensive experience supporting survivors of violence in clinical and forensic settings, Brittany brings a unique and vital perspective on how TBIs intersect with trauma, abuse, and victimization.

This training will explore:

  • How traumatic brain injuries may present in survivors of domestic and sexual violence
  • Key signs and symptoms to look for in the field or during intake
  • Long-term effects of TBI and how they can impact recovery, memory, and safety planning
  • Strategies for supporting survivors with TBI through trauma-informed and accessible advocacy

Brittany is a forensic nurse at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, one of the oldest and largest healthcare providers in the Greater Cincinnati region, serving communities across Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana through six medical facilities.
