This free training is for law enforcement, dispatchers, prosecutors, advocates, and anyone who works to serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

The topics covered will be:

  • National and Indiana data as it relates to domestic violence and sexual assault
  • Applicable Indiana law pertaining to domestic and sexual violence
  • Case studies from both civil and criminal cases
  • Sexual assault as a form of battering
  • Domestic violence offenders as a risk for law enforcement officer safety
  • The crime of strangulation, strangulation during intimacy and acquired brain injuries
  • Civil liability for law enforcement
